Hello everyone! This is my blog I’m setting up to write on during my trip to Honduras.
Right now its Tuesday night, and I’m scheduled to leave BWI airport in Baltimore at 6 AM to fly to Atlanta and then to San Pedro de Sula, the second largest city in Honduras. With layovers and a 2 hour time shift I should get there at about 11:30 AM, and take a bus to La Ceiba, the 3rd largest city in Honduras which is directly west of the town I’ll be volunteering at. From there I’ll take a ferry to Roatan, an island off the coast of Honduras and work on “studying Spanish” for a couple weeks before I start volunteering.
I wish I could find somewhere to study Spanish without beautiful beaches, rainforests, an enormous coral reefs and 5 cent beers to distract me, but no such location could be found so I’ll have to put up with the distractions and hopefully learn a little in spite of it.
Anyway I’ll post more when I’m in Honduras, I’m in the middle of some INTENSE last minute packing that could potentially set some sort of record if they gave credit for those kind of things. Next post will include an explanation of why I’m going to Honduras when everyone thought I was going to Brazil! Please also forward this blog to anyone I’m friends with who doesn’t have Facebook, or will refuse to be my friend like my Grandfather.
